When a Chinese coastal WtE plant running three 1000 t/d mechanical grate lines needed a grate bar replacement that could match Ebara’s combustion profile, the procurement team faced two problems: short campaign life of the previous bars in the burn-out zone, and dimensional mismatch during on-site assembly.

XinRuiJi (foundbased.com), backed by Wuxi Witdge Alloy’s 2500 t/y heat-resistant casting shop, proposed a customized Hi-Cr Ni-Si heat-resistant alloy bar, produced under Hitachi Zosen–referenced R-type quality control.

What we did

· Selected alloy composition for oxidation resistance at 850–1050 °C, controlling Cr/Ni/Si and trace N to reduce thermal growth.

· Used shell mold casting for thin-wall, high-precision bars; lost foam for complex trial variants—no parting line, no core, minimal dressing.

· Pre-assembled 1 full grate module (dry+burn+burn-out sections) in the workshop to verify pitch, height accumulation and flatness before shipment.

· Delivered 50-piece MOQ batches with ASTM A297-based inspection, spectro-chemical report, and dimensional FAI.

Result

The burn-out zone bars ran without mid-life rotation through the first 14-month campaign; on-site fitting time dropped because pre-assembly caught a 1.2 mm cumulative error before export. The plant later rolled the same spec into two sister lines.

“XinRuiJi didn’t sell us bars. They sold us a pre-checked grate section.” — project engineer, EPC subcontractor

Spec snapshot

· Capacity: 800 t/y grate bar series, 50 pcs MOQ, Shanghai port

· Process: Lost foam + shell mold, sand blast Ra6.3

· Export record: JFE Tokyo/Osaka, Ebara Zhangjiagang/Xiamen, Myanmar/Thailand JFE WtE
